In early 2008 Art in General celebrated the launch of a project long in the making, the New Commissions Book series. There are now 10 titles available on Amazon.com, each volume corresponding to a project commissioned by Art in General between 2005 and 2007. The New Commissions Program was launched in 2005, changing the organization’s relationship to artists. This series of books is an exciting opportunity to revisit the projects that launched what is now the cornerstone of programming at Art in General.
