Lee Walton holds a M.F.A in visual arts from the California College of Arts. After a two-year affiliation with the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin, CA, Walton has received many accolades, from the Video Selections at the 8th Havana Biennale, to multiple residencies and fellowships as well as an induction into the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. His recent exhibitions include: Sport (2005), Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, NY, Life/Theater (2005), Reykjavik Art Museum, Iceland, 8th Havana Bienal (2003), Havana, Cuba. He also completed a visiting artist project at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, Indianapolis (2004). He has had solo exhibitions at the 00130 Gallery in Helsinki, Finland, 67 Shotwell and Southern Exposure in San Francisco, CA, and at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin, CA, among others. He has been a guest lecturer at Eyebeam in New York City, at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR, and Glowlab in NYC. He will be having a solo exhibition, Baseball Drawings, at Kraushaar Galleries, New York, NY in October 2005. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and baby daughter Florence.
