Alex Perweiler (b.1986) is an American artist living and working in New York, NY. Perweiler received his BFA from Parsons the New School for Design, New York, NY in 2009. Together with Isaac Brest, he founded the Brooklyn-based art organization The Still House Group with in 2007 to foster “creative sustainability” for future generations of artists seeking non-traditional career progressions. Since then, The Still House Group has built a permanent, multi-faceted arts institution in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and produced numerous exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Recently, Perweiler showed alongside Zachary Susskind in Nobody comes here anymore, it’s too crowded (w/ Zachary Susskind), The Still House Group, Redhook, NY (2013).
