Artist: Adel Abidin

Adel Abidin (b. 1973) is an Iraqi artist that currently lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. Abidin received his BA at the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad in 2000 and his MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki in 2005. He has been the subject of solo exhibitions including Many Ways, Sultan Gallery, Kuwait (2014); I Love To Love, Forum Box- Space for Art, Helsinki (2013); Beyond, Arter- Space for Art, Istanbul (2012); Untitled, Anne De Villepoix Gallery, Paris (2011); The DA2 Domus Artium 2002, Centre of Contemporary Art in Salamanca, Spain (2010); Abidin Travels, White Box Gallery, New York (2008); among others.
