Jonah Groeneboer was born in Vancouver, BC and lives and works in New York. He received a MFA from New York University and a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. Recent solo and group exhibitions include the Language of Birds, 80WSE, New York; Greater New York, MoMA PS1, New York; Island Time, Contemporary Art Museum Houston, Houston; Blue Shift, Platform Center for Photographic and Digital Arts, Winnipeg; and Double Mouth Feedback, Recess, New York. His work has been featured in The New Yorker, New York Arts, Art 21, The New York Times, and Temporary Art Review. Groeneboer has lectured at the Drawing Center, Ox-Bow School of Art, and New York University.
