Barbara Zucker was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1940. She received a BS from The University of Michigan in 1962 and a MA from Hunter College in New York City. She currently is a Professor of Art at The University of Vermont and has taught in the past at The Philadelphia College of Art, PA and Yale University, New Haven, CT. Her work is included in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Brooklyn Museum of Art. She has had solo shows in New York City at Robert Miller Gallery, Pam Adler Gallery, and The Sculpture Center and is co-founder of A.I.R., the first all-women’s cooperative gallery in the United States. Zucker received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship grant in 1975.
