Sutee Kunavichayanont was born in Bangkok, Thailand where he currently lives and works. He holds a M.F.A. from the University of Sydney, Australia and received his B.F.A. from Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Kunavichayanont has had solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States. Recent group shows include Imagined Workshop, The 2nd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan (2002); Thin Skin: The Fickle Nature of Bubbles, Spheres, and Inflatable Structures, AXA Gallery, New York, NY (2002); The Global Scents of Thailand, Edsvik Konst Och Kultur, Edsvik, Sweden (2000); Jardins Secrets, Art dans la Ville, Saint-Etienne, France (1999); and Trace, Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Arts, Liverpool, England (1999). His solo exhibitions include Elephant, Optica, Montreal, Canada (2001); and Inflatable Nostalgia, Atelier Frank and Lee, Singapore (2001). In 1999, Kunavichayanont was invited to participate in the Artist Residency program at The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, PA.
