Chitti Kasemkitvatana was born in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his B.A. in Fine Art from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Kasemkitvatana’s solo exhibitions include Touch the Ground, Project 304, Bangkok, Thailand (2000) and when two become one / when 2 become 1, About Studio/About Café, Bangkok, Thailand (1997). Group exhibitions include Alter Ego, Thai – EU Contemporary Art Project, Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand (1999); A Step Before…Blissful Retreat, Moulden Art Project (MAP), Moulden, NT, Australia (1999); Cities on the Move, which traveled to Musee d’art Contemporain de Bordeaux, France, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Queens, NY, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk, Denmark, and Hayward Gallery, London, England (1997-99); and Do It: Thai Version, Bangkok University Art Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand (1996). In 1999, Kasemkitvatana left Bangkok to join a Thai Buddhist monastery in Northern Thailand.
