Artist: Mel Kendrick

Nov 15 - Jan 10 2004

Kendrick’s sculptures often represent an aspect of the natural world. He explores his interest in twins and the question of unique identity by replicating an object and presenting it with its mirror image. Kendrick has had recent solo exhibitions at the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, New Hampshire and the Tampa Museum of Art, Florida. His work is in the collection of many prestigious institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
