Who is Going to Eastern Europe?

Public Program
Apr 22, 2005
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Presentations and informal conversations with the five New York-based artists participating in Art in General’s Eastern European Residency Exchange (EERE): Daniel Bozhkov, Luis Gispert, Michael Rakowitz, Karin Schnieder, and Karen Yasinsky. This program will be followed by an informal wine reception with the artists. Art in General’s EERE program is a unique artist in residence program in our gallery offered to Eastern European artists nominated by Art in General partner sites: Trafo Gallery in Budapest, Hungary; Bunkier Sztuki Gallery in Krakow, Poland; Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Poland; the Foundation Center for Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic; and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, Croatia. As part of the EERE, these organizations also host New York-based artists for a two-month residency in their institutions.
