Potatoes, Teddi Bears, Lipsticks, and Mao

Zhang Hongtu, Stacy Greene, Michelle Charles, Gail Goldsmith

The works in this exhibition are united by their use of serial repetition. From photographs of used lipsticks and sculpted clay teddy bears, to silhouettes of Mao, and drawings of potatoes, the repetition of these works infuse meaning into otherwise banal or overly saturated images.
