Not Plucked: Feather Room, A Healing Chamber

Hunt Slonem creates a new architecture of sacred space. Walls, floor, and ceiling are covered with molted feathers gathered from birds living in his own loft. The installation is an expression of the artist’s interest in how many societies have chosen to draw upon the special energies and powers that feathers are thought to possess.
