010airg497_4_lg_144_144Created by Bernadette Chéné, this installation features a large “flower-bed” comprised of tightly rolled newspapers. A number of dark suit jackets line the walls with copies of every newspaper available in New York that was published on April 1, 1997 placed in their pockets. With this installation Chéné considers the function of newspapers in regards to memory, history, and the fast-pace of urban life.
