Chinatown AIDS Project: A Window Installation at Art in General

002wi90_2_lg_144_144Chinatown AIDS Project seeks to convey critical information about the AIDS crisis to the Chinese community in which Art in General is located. The work’s visual and textual elements draw on popular Chinese culture and vernacular. The artists, Kathy Chou, Lei Chou, and Ming Ma, acknowledge the cultural barriers that accompany AIDS prevention education and seek to, “truly speak in the language of our audience.” This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Visual AIDS’ A Day With(out) Art.
