Solids Matter

Cecilia Galiena’s wall installation brings together wall drawings and small oil paintings to question notions of communication, language, and space. Figurative oil paintings of contemporary political luminaries, drawn from images in the New York Times, are superimposed upon abstract forms and fragmented text. A brief essay by artist Matt Freedman accompanies the installation.
