Natural History
Teresa Liszka, Martin Weinstein, Fontaine Dunn, Ellen Driscoll, Debra Weisberg
Natural History features the work of five artists that have been influenced by nature. Fontaine Dunn’s paintings depict small ovals and patterns that are reminiscent of flames, water, and leaf forms; the wall sculptures of Debra Weisberg are thickly painted and resemble large botanical forms; Martin Weinstein has created a series of drawings that are direct observations of nature; the sculptures of Teresa Liszka are a group of clay and papier-mâché tree trunks that take on humanistic characteristics; Ellen Driscoll’s large sculptures consist of roughly-worked wooden fragments arranged to resemble antlers or branches.
