Using 19th century cinematographic technology, Heidi Kumao has created a haunting installation that combines film, found objects and audio components. Recitals features photographic images and audio sounds that are activated by the viewer’s movement. In addition, a number of broken toys and other household objects are strewn throughout the gallery suggesting traces of domestic disarray.
