A digital catalog of Art in General on Canal, a two-part series of public art projects on and around Canal Street from 2001 to 2003 to commemorate Art in General’s 20th anniversary. The cd-rom features images, video, audio, and text about the projects as well as press, essays by organizer Andréa Salerno and former Art in General executive director Holly Block. Participating artists include: The PARbros, a two-person art collective from Rotterdam in the Netherlands; Gelatin, a four-person collective from Austria; Gustavo Artigas from Mexico City; Matthew Bakkom, Andrea Claire, Godzilla Asian American Art Network, Yoko Inoue, Robyn Love, Sontext, and Leo Villareal from New York; and a consortium of other artists, writers, and critics—including Matthew Buckingham, Anne Gardiner, Nic Hess, Nina Katchadourian and Sina Najafi, Cuauhtémoc Medina, Katy Schimert, and Olav Westphalen—curated by Pip Day.
